Choose the right needle

Tex 70 is a heavy duty thread made for semi-industrial machines, straight stitch machines (such as HD9) and industrial machines.
For heavy fabrics such as leather, faux leather, denim and canvas, a needle is recommended. 120/19 or thicker for best results.

The best combination is often Tex 70 as over thread and Tex 45 as bobbin thread – it provides a smooth, beautiful seam and reduces the strain on the machine.
On details such as bag straps, where you want maximum strength and a holistic look, it is especially nice to use Tex 70 as both upper and lower thread.
